Description

This aluminum alloy die-cast water-cooled housing is a core thermal management component for new energy vehicle motor controllers and drive systems.  It is designed to provide efficient heat dissipation for high-power electronic modules such as MCUs and electric drive motors, ensuring stable operation under high-temperature and high-load conditions.

The housing is manufactured using high-pressure aluminum die casting, typically with ADC12 or A356 aluminum alloy, followed by precision CNC machining on critical sealing surfaces, mounting interfaces, and threaded ports.  This combination delivers excellent structural strength, dimensional accuracy, and pressure tightness while maintaining lightweight characteristics.

An integrated internal water-cooling channel structure allows coolant to circulate efficiently through the housing, rapidly removing heat generated by power electronics.  Compared with air-cooled solutions, the water-cooled design significantly improves thermal efficiency and supports higher power density, which is essential for modern electric and hybrid vehicle platforms.

The structure features threaded inlet and outlet ports on the top and side surfaces for coolant pipe connections, along with reinforced mounting lugs on both sides for secure installation within the powertrain assembly.  The housing is engineered to meet extremely strict sealing requirements, with leakage performance controlled to ≤ 1 Pa·m³/s, ensuring long-term reliability in closed cooling systems.

To enhance corrosion resistance and durability, the surface is treated with natural anodizing or passivation, protecting the aluminum substrate from coolant exposure, moisture, and harsh automotive operating environments.  This makes the component suitable for long-term use in both pure electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs).

As a key enabler of high-efficiency thermal management, this aluminum die-cast water-cooled housing plays a critical role in achieving high power density, system stability, and extended service life in new energy vehicle power systems.

This aluminum die-cast water-cooled housing is widely used in electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles, serving motor controllers, inverter systems, and integrated drive units.  It is an essential structural component for EV powertrains that require compact design, high thermal performance, and reliable sealing under continuous operation.
